In 2023, we had the opportunity to work with Wimmera Mallee Waste (WMW) on securing their brand-new industrial site in Horsham. The project involved designing and constructing a durable, functional fencing solution that would offer both security and a clean, professional look for the facility.

We installed an 1800mm chain mesh fence around the entire perimeter of the property, balancing strength, visibility, and cost-effectiveness. Along the road frontage, we opted for a black powder-coated finish to create a more polished and professional appearance that complemented the new site’s façade. For the sides and rear boundaries, we used galvanised chain mesh, ensuring long-term corrosion resistance and durability where visual impact was less critical.

One of the standout features of this project was the truck access gates. To accommodate WMW’s large vehicle movements, we constructed two extra-wide gates measuring 10 metres and 12 metres, providing ample clearance for their waste collection trucks and heavy machinery. These gates were designed for both security and convenience, ensuring smooth daily operations without compromising safety.

The end result was a robust, low-maintenance fencing system that looks great from the street, performs well in a demanding industrial environment, and will stand up to years of use.

At Ballarat Rural Fencing, we take pride in tailoring every project to meet the unique needs of the site — whether that’s a commercial yard, industrial facility, or rural property.
