This was a special one. In August 2025, our long-time customers, the McDonnell family, began building The Melbourne Arboretum, a project dedicated to preserving parts of their farm on the outskirts of Melbourne through native tree plantations for future generations to enjoy.
It was our pleasure to supply and install the 900-metre perimeter fence surrounding the plantation. The fencing needed to be kangaroo and rabbit-proof, using vermin mesh with an apron and 30 mm netting clipped over to stop rabbits.
The gates required a reinforced concrete strip footing to future-proof vehicle access points and withstand heavy equipment. Finally, we added an offset hotwire powered by a solar energiser and earth kit for extra protection.
